Where it is

Milton Lakes covers about 1,089 acres in what the plan calls “the southernmost portion of the City, bordering the Deerfield character area and the City of Alpharetta.” Central Milton is to the north, Bethany and Deerfield to the east, and Alpharetta to the south. Cogburn Road, Hopewell Road and Providence Road are its main roads.

The plan says lot sizes run from low- to medium-density, that the area’s access to sewer “suggest[s] it may experience higher density development pressure,” and that its main use should remain residential, with higher-density apartments kept to a minimum.

Of the area’s 667 residential address points in the city’s map data, 77% are in ZIP code 30004 and 23% in 30009. All are single structures. The city’s neighborhoods layer lists 12 developments, among them Brookshade, the largest at 138 homes, Providence Oaks, The Hermitage and Hopewell Plantation.
