Black Friday is Friday, Nov. 27, 2026, the day after Thanksgiving, and Small Business Saturday follows on Nov. 28. Milton has no mall. Its holiday shopping is mostly small, independent stores in downtown Crabapple, where the city and Crabapple Market both push shopping local through November and December.

Shop Milton for the Holidays

The City of Milton’s Economic Development Department runs a Shop Milton for the Holidays list every season. The city says it collects holiday information and special offers from local businesses that answer its “call to action,” then promotes those businesses on the city’s social media and website in November and December.

The city’s holiday specials page still shows the 2024 list as of Oct. 17. It named shops, restaurants, child care centers and service businesses, from Poe & Company Bookstore in Crabapple to a Christmas tree lot at Little River Farms. The 2026 list had not been posted. We will link it here when it is.

Business owners who want to be on the list can email econdev@cityofmiltonga.us. The city says a sign-up form goes up on the Shop Milton page when it starts building the list.

Downtown Crabapple: where the shops are

Crabapple Market, 12650 Crabapple Road, is the center of downtown Crabapple, a set of shops, restaurants and homes linked by walkways around the lawn known as The Green, across from City Hall. Its shopping directory lists:

Most Crabapple shops have not posted Black Friday or holiday hours for 2026 yet. These are the regular hours the stores publish on their own sites. Call before you go on a holiday.

Christmas trees and a holiday shop

Christmas at Little River Farms, on a family farm in Milton since the 1950s, sells choose-and-cut trees from the farm and pre-cut Fraser firs. It runs a gift shop it calls the Merry Little Christmas Shop, with a food truck on weekends and free Santa visits. The farm says to use the Wildflower Barn entrance at the corner of Batesville Road and Taylor Road, 14505C Batesville Road, not the Little River Farms entrance. It posts season hours on its Instagram and Facebook pages.

Holiday markets

The City of Milton does not run a holiday market. Its own farmers market is a spring-to-fall event. Crabapple Market holds community events on The Green and posts them on its events calendar. No 2026 holiday market was listed there as of Oct. 17. We will add one when it is announced.

Evenings in Crabapple during the season

The city’s Wanderlust Food Truck Fest brings more than a dozen food trucks to downtown Crabapple from 4 to 8 p.m. on three Thursdays this season:

The city says trucks set up in two spots: the Market District Crabapple parking lot (the “west side,” with live music) and the gravel area behind the Green at Crabapple Market (the “east side”). The lineup changes each time.

The city’s Christmas in Crabapple and tree lighting is 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at Broadwell Pavilion, a short walk from the shops, and Pancake Breakfast with Santa is Saturday, Dec. 12.

Parking and traffic

The City of Milton has not published a parking or traffic plan for Black Friday or the holiday shopping season. For big events downtown, the city has closed Crabapple Road between Heritage Walk and Broadwell Road and used Heritage Walk as the detour, so check the city calendar before a weekend trip. We will add any closures or detours here when the city announces them.

Is Milton City Hall open on Black Friday? No. The City of Milton says City Hall and the police and fire administrative offices are closed Thursday, Nov. 26, and Friday, Nov. 27, 2026, for Thanksgiving.

Where can I shop local in Milton for the holidays? Downtown Crabapple has the biggest cluster of independent shops, most of them at Crabapple Market on Crabapple Road and Heritage Walk. The city also runs a Shop Milton for the Holidays list of local businesses each November and December.

What are Poe & Company Bookstore’s hours? The bookstore lists 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and closed Sunday. It has not posted separate Black Friday hours for 2026.

Is there a holiday market in Milton? The city does not run one. Crabapple Market posts events on The Green on its own calendar, and no 2026 holiday market date was listed as of Oct. 17.
