What it means for you

  • If you own a home in Milton, higher values can mean a higher assessment and a higher property tax bill, even when tax rates stay flat. Fulton County votes Wednesday on its 2026 rate; see our story on the county’s 8.87-mill proposal.
  • If you are buying, the index is a broad guide, not a price for any one house. Recent sales on the street you are looking at are a better check.
